Pros
Power – Some people still believe that cordless tools are not as powerful as their corded counterparts. This model is more powerful than many of the corded versions, and the Li-Ion battery also holds its charge for much longer, than the old batteries.

Battery Life
Sold as a tool only, so you need an 18V battery with 2.5 Ah or higher to get the most out of this jigsaw. A battery and charger cost around £70 which you can find here at Amazon UK.
Power
This is a very powerful jigsaw, so don’t be concerned by the fact that it runs off an 18V battery. The 2.5Ah is the recommended battery capacity, but the 4.0 and 5.0 Ah will mean the jigsaw can run even longer.
Value for Money
The average price for a tool only jigsaw is around £70 in the UK. Brands such as Bosch, Dewalt, Makita will always be more expensive, but they offer sound guarantees and good customer service.
This is for the jigsaw only so no battery or charger. You literally just get the saw so there is no carry case either.
This will be the better and more affordable choice if you already have an 18V compatible Bosch battery.
Just be aware that this is a Bosch “DIY” range so this jigsaw will not be compatible with the Bosch Professional 18V range.
Just remember the Bosch DIY range is a green colour and the Bosch professional range is a blue colour, and batteries are not compatible between the two ranges.
