Shaving Removal. There are two several realizations of threads removal. External and internal threads. Let’s find out..

Different methods.

The thread execution process by shaving removal consists of different methods. Let us see them together:

  • by the use of taps and dies

                 – by hand
                 – automatically

  • thread milling (on pieces of high dimensional accuracy)
  • threading on a lathe.

Internal and external threads.

INTERNAL THREADS

The process of tapping is when the internal threads are obtained by a special threaded tool (taps, etc..)

EXTERNAL THREADS

Also, the external threads can be made by shaving removal using an mold.  Or for milling.

Rectify the threads.

Sometimes, in order to improve accuracy and surface quality of threads are rectified. Although this is an expensive process. Some examples? For the realization of taps or measuring instrument.

Production of threads.

Thanks to the automatic thread cutting machines you can accomplish both screws and threaded components. Even with high production rates.
